Vintage 1950s silver tone dress clip with three interlocking rings know as borromean rings.
The name "Borromean rings" comes from their use in the coat of arms of the aristocratic Borromeo family in Northern Italy. The rings have been used in history to symbolise strength in unity, for example the Church used to the design to symbolise the Trinity.
Dress clips are worn on the collar of jumpers, dresses and can be clipped to coats.
